The mesh and stringing aspect of the Lacrosse has skyrocketed in the past few years. Players have begun taking pride in being able to string their own sticks or being the 'Stick Doctor' for their team. We have seen dozens of mesh companies come into play recently since everyone wants a piece of the prize. A lot of times these companies, unfortunately, don't have the resources they need to really make something that can revolutionize the game. That's what makes seeing the big manufacturers step into mesh development so great. STX has just released their new STX Knot Mesh, and it is unlike anything we have ever seen before. This mesh is made from individual strings that are woven and tied together to create the diamonds. The knots, from which the mesh gets it's name, ensures that your pocket will stay locked into place giving you a great consistent pocket with added hold and control. At first glance, the not mesh seems like it could be difficult to string due to the knots in the diamonds. But once you take a step back and look at it, it's not that difficult at all. We were able to get a dime of a pocket after a few revisions. The knots add a level of feel and control that we haven't really encountered in a piece of mesh before. With the extra resistance and grip provided in the Knot Mesh, you're going to be able to control the ball better than ever. It really is a good sign seeing the big dogs, like STX, step into mesh development. With their added resources, the research and development capabilities alone are going to help elevate Lacrosse even further!
