The 2017 Under Armour All American Game for both the boys and girls were a huge success. With both taking place at Towson University's Johnny Unitas Stadium on July 1st, Towson, Maryland was the place to be on this 4th of July weekend.
The 2017 Girls Under Armour All American game started the afternoon in Towson with the North defeating the South by a score of 16-15 in overtime. The game stared girls that will be taking their talents to several schools, including North Carolina, Stanford, and Syracuse. Duke bound midfielder Charlotte North led the South team to victory earning MVP honors, finishing the day with 3 goals and an assist, including the game winning goal in OT.
The 2017 Boys All American game was just as exciting. Aside from the standout players, their were also some standout celebrations from both teams. One goal and celebration that really stood out was Boston University bound attackman, Chris Gray's sweet backhand goal and then even sweeter celly as his teammates ran onto the field for a little game of duck, duck goose. Johns Hopkins bound attackman Connor DeSimone finished the game as the MVP, after racking up 5 points on the day.
Aside from these college bound athletes playing great on the field, they also looked great as well. In the women's game every player was outfitted with an Under Armour jersey, skirt and socks. Each player was also given a custom USA strung Under Armour Glory Women's Complete Stick, and Under Armour Highlight 2 MC cleats. Just like the women's teams, the men's teams were also outfitted head to toe as well. Each player was given a sweet new Custom Cascade S Helmet with sweet custom stickers and their home state stick on the back. They were given UA Command Pro II Gloves, which are not released yet, but coming soon! To protect the elbows, each player were given a pair of UA VFT Shoulder Pads, and Arm Pads. In order to handle the rock each player needed a stick. Each player was given a Under Armour C96 Composite Shaft, and an Under Armour Command Head. On the feet each player was given Under Armour Highlight Cleats.
