PLL Lacrosse - Week 2 Recap & Week 3 Preview

Chrome LC vs. Whipsnakes LC Week 2 Recap Week two of the PLL kicked off in New York with another overtime thriller. The Whipsnapes narrowly escaped the Chrome 12-11. The hero today was Ryan Drenner, who had the game winning goal. The story of this game was the relentless attack of both the Chrome and the Whipsnapes. With a total of 90 shots from both teams, goalies John Galloway and Dan Morris were kept busy all game. The Whipsnapes now sit atop of the league at 2-0 while the Chrome fall to fifth at 0-2. The Chrome will try to stay undefeated when they play next Sunday, June 16th, at 2:30 pm against the Atlas. The Whipsnapes will face off against the Archers on Saturday, June 15th, at 5 pm. They'll be trying to get their first win of the season. Both of these games will be played in Chicago. Archers LC vs. Redwoods LC Week 2 Recap The short history of the PLL has not shorted fans of thrills and close games. In the second game of week two, the Archers took advantage of a struggling Redwoods offense and came away with the close victory, 10-9. The Redwoods defense didn't have answers late for Archer's midfielder Ben McIntosh and attackman Ryan Ambler. This victory sets up the Archers as 2-0, and tied for first in the PLL with the Whipsnapes. The Redwoods now fall to 1-1 and will try and go above .500 with a win against the Chaos next Saturday, June 15th at 2 pm in Chicago. (Credit to: PLL Instagram.) The second weekend of the PLL ended with an offensive explosion for the world to see. The NBC broadcasted game shot off like a rocket when Atlas attackman Ryan Brown scored the first goal of the game in the first eight seconds. After that, the Chaos put their foot on the gas and didn't let up by scoring five unanswered goals. They got off to an 8-1 lead, led by a two-point nuke from Matt Rees. The Atlas didn't go down without a fight however, they fired back with three of their own goals. Mile Thompson had the highlight of the weekend with an insane behind the back goal. The Chaos cruised to an 18-13 victory as the Atlas fall to 0-2 and sit at the bottom of the PLL standings after two week. With the win, the Chaos are 1-1 and find themselves in the middle of the pack. The Premier Lacrosse League takes their talents to Chicago for week three, where the three games should be just as exhilarating as they were this week. Credit to:
