The Whipsnakes got out ahead early with a 8-4 halftime lead. But the GOAT wasn't going down quietly. Rabil started a three goal burst from the Atlas that brought them within striking distance. With the score being tied at 9-9 with two minutes to go in the fourth quarter, both teams needed someone to step up and make a play. Ryan Drenner answered the call yet again for the Whipsnakes, putting them up 10-9 late. They would go on to win the game 11-9, completing the series sweep against the Atlas. This gave the Whipsnakes their fifth win of the season and sent the Atlas even deeper in the PLL standings as they now sit at 2-4. Archers LC vs. Redwoods LC Week 6 Recap *Image via https://www.premierlacrosseleague.com/article/archersredwoodsweek6recap* Dominant defenses were the story of this week 6 matchup between the Archers and the Redwoods. After heading into their locker rooms tied at 4 in the first half, the Redwoods seemed to be the ones to get the better speech. Their attack got to work quick, scoring three straight to go up 7-4. Momentum shifted back to the Archers in the fourth quarter and they managed to score four goals in the fourth quarter to end regulation at 8-8. The rookie out of Rutgers decided enough was enough. Jules Heningburg scored the game winner for the Redwoods, putting them now four games over .500 at 4-2. This loss sends the Archers down with the Atlas towards the bottom of the PLL standings as they sit at 2-4. Chrome LC vs. Chaos LC Week 6 Recap *Image via https://www.premierlacrosseleague.com/article/chromechaosweek6recap* The Chaos sat atop of the standings coming into the game as the Chaos rotted away in the PLL sewers, haven't being able to find their first win of the season. Yet, when you look at the product on the field, it would seem as if the opposite were true. These two teams met last week where the Chaos pulled out a late OT win. The Chrome were not about to lose two straight to the same team. The first quarter saw the Chrome leading 4-2. After that, they never took their foot off the gas. The Chrome earned their first by scoring a record setting 19 goals. This was a huge win that the Chrome will look to capitalize on when regular season play continues on July 27th in Denver. The Premier Lacrosse League heads into the All-Star break after an exhilarating six weeks of action. The Whipsnakes sit alone at first place at the break as the Chrome attempt to string together a late season run in the second half. The All-Star festivities will begin on Sunday, July 21st at the Banc of California stadium in Los Angeles.
