Dallas And Denver To Meet In The Championship

The Dallas Rattlers and the Denver Outlaws have both won in their semi-final games of the MLL championship. The two teams will duke it out for the Steinfeld trophy on August 18th at 7 PM in Charleston, South Carolina. The Denver Outlaws won in spectacular fashion over the Chesapeake Bayhawks with a nail biting 13-12 finish. The Outlaws and Bayhawks played each other twice prior to this meeting with both wins going to the Bayhawks. This game was a grudge match from the start. The Outlaws were determined though, not to get swept by Chesapeake and their determination paid off. Outlaw' Currier lead the team with 4 goals and was named player of the game. Bayhawk's Thompson also had 4 but they weren't enough to seal the deal. This is Denver's third straight finals appearance. As for the Dallas Rattlers their win was a little more convincing. After seven straight losses coming from the Lizards dating back to 2014 including one championship game, Dallas came prepared. So when they met again in this semi-final game Dallas showed no mercy. Dominating in key aspects of the game like possession time and face-off wins, Dallas showed they weren't ready to lose again. In 31 face-offs, Rattler's Simoneau won 24 of them ensuring his team could dictate the flow of the game. Also out of 73 ground balls Dallas had recovered 43 of them. When your team has that kind of dominance its hard not to lose but New York definitely gave the Rattlers a run scoring 12.

Denver Set To Face A New Challenge

This championship game is sure to be an exciting one with Denver trying to capture their second championship in 3 years. While it all looks the same for Denver their opponent from the last two chip games, the Ohio Machine will not be in attendance.
