We All Need Fall Lacrosse

Fall Ball Get your bucket hat out and some extra lacrosse balls, we are in the middle of fall lacrosse season! The fall lacrosse season may not have the glory of the spring season, but it is just as competitive. There are tons of games going on at every age level. For high school seniors, these games are their last chance to be seen by college coaches. The stakes aren’t as high with the younger grades, but you never know when you’ll meet your future coach. Four notable high school tournaments below: 1. MVP at Rider University, New Jersey, November 7th and 8th 2. Fall Classic Open and Invitational at Farmingdale State College, New York, Saturday November 21st and Sunday November 22nd respectively 3. National Lacrosse Federation Fall Freshman Showcase at Boys Latin High School, Baltimore, Maryland, November 1st 4. UP Lax Fall Shootout at Broad Neck High School, Annapolis, Maryland, November 12-13 & 19-20 At the college level, these games are the first and only chance to play other teams. It is fun to scrimmage your own squad. Playing a different team in the fall feels like eating for the first time in a week. These games often get scrappy! Laxmagazine has a great list of college games. I find myself watching lacrosse highlights way more in the fall to get my fix. However, there is nothing like live lacrosse. Go out and support your local college or attend one of these events to get that much needed dose of lacrosse.
